Awesome – glad you were able to save some dough! Agree 100% on party favors – mostly just wasted money.

It was nice to bring something and with everyone bringing something, there was much more variety of food than had just one person done all of the cooking.

As for the party favors, less is more to me. As others have pointed out, they typically end up in the trash so in the long run, it’s wasted money.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you had a great 4th of July. I hate throwing away perfectly good decorations, but if they came from the dollar tree, it doesn’t hurt quite as bad 🙂

Great tip – those premade trays are great if you are in a hurry, but folks with 10-15 minutes to spare can really save a bundle as you suggest.

Thanks for stopping by – hope you had a good fourth 🙂 Hope yours was enjoyable. I think probably the cheapest option would be the powdered crystal light or something 🙂

There’s just no need to go all out with great quality as they usually find themselves in the trash. The idea of a potluck is always a good one!

First, the ones from the grocery stores never look all that appealing (or fresh). Second, it’s way cheaper to make your own. I’ve made some great looking ones for less than $10. A little yogurt in the center and you’re ready to go!

By buying larger gallons of juice or by making your own drinks would definitely save you a lot, soda is too expensive.
